WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Creed of the House of God Saints In Christ

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son; our Lord; which was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into Hell; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God our Father Almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. We believe in the Holy Ghost; the House of God Saints In Christ; the communion of the Saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and life everlasting. Amen.

What We Believe

  • We believe that the Bible is the Holy Word of God and we hold the Holy Word of God to be the only authority in all spiritual matters.

  • We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of all things. The Old Testament reveals God in diverse manners and the New Testament gives us knowledge of God as the first person in the Godhead.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and the Second person in the Godhead.

  • We believe the Holy Ghost to be the third person in the Godhead.

  • We believe also that the members of the House of God Saints in Christ Church to be baptized with the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire and have the evidence which is speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives utterance.

  • We believe that water baptism is necessary as instructed by Christ Jesus; however water baptism alone will not save, but is an outward demonstration that one has had a conversion experience and has accepted Christ as His personal Saviour. We believe as given to us by Christ for all baptism "In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost".

  • We believe that Jesus Christ shed his blood for the remission of sins; and for regeneration of penitent sinners and for the salvation from sins and from sinning. Also that he shed his blood for the complete cleansing of the justified believers from all indwelling sin and from pollution, subsequent to regeneration.

  • We believe, teach, and firmly maintain the spiritual doctrine of justification by faith.

  • We believe sanctification is an instantaneous definite work of Christ, obtainable by faith on the part of believers.

  • We believe in the second coming of Christ; that he shall come from heaven; and that the Church, his bride, will be caught up to meet him in the air.

  • We believe that miracles are extraordinary visible acts of God's Divine power. We believe these works of God, which where performed during the beginning of Christianity continues to occur even today where the word of God is preached, where Faith in Christ is excercised, and where the Holy Ghost is active in the Gospel.

  • We believe the Divine Healing by Faith in God has scriptural support. We are encouraged to pray for the sick, lay hands upon them and to anoint them with oil and that prayer with faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise them up; and testimonies of healings in our church testify to the fact.

  • The Lord's Supper (the Holy Communion) symbolizes the Lord's suffering and death in the place of His people. Feet washing too is practiced within our church, by His example, Jesus showed humility.
